Old Wyndelkynd

Wyndelkynd is a strange planet once controlled by The Zamiotl, advanced nomads who travelled on mobile planetships either inhabiting it's surface or the moons around them. Their society would not have been possible without the Faeries, pheonix like creatures who emerged from genetic experiments that occurred millions of years ago. The astounding powers of the Faerie made the Zamiotl civilisation godlike amongst their peers. But the Zamiotl's days are numbered, as their collapse is accelerated by the rising Zilloizillo, they have scattered. Wyndelkynd is just one of thousands of fallen planetships in the universe and the seeds laid by their predecessors have again taken root anew.   The Faerie orbitting this world has also changed since her ancient days serving the Zamiotl. She has developed new powers and bestowed them on the ancestors of her former masters. Known as Faeriel by the Wyndelkyndians, she has had a profound impact on the development of the planet. Worshipped as their protector for thousands of years, she brought comfort to many. But she was not universally accepted. In the past 3000 years Tykyrrianism has brought significant changes also. It championed egalitarianism and idyllic democracy, but it brought bloody revolutions and slew Faeriel in The War of Bloodied Feathers.   As of the arrival of the 8th Metza and for the past 100 years, Idyllic Faerism has united the planet under The Wyndelkyndian Confederation. Faeriel was reincarnated in the hollow centre of the planet where The Faerielite High Council protects and nurtures her. After the Tykyrrian nations were defeated, Tykyrrian ideology became heavily persecuted, escalating into the mass incarceration of Tykyrrians in a space penal colony orbiting their homestar. A revolution occurred on the penal colony and they fled the system to build a home elsewhere, hoping they may eventually return. As for the political situation in the Wyndelkyndian Confederation, a resurgence of nationalism amongst ethnic groups under The Serran Confederation and the growth of the Etcheliotapa Party is threatening the union.
