Furalos was a Belhubyrian general in the
Kaultedtian Wars. He is infamous for using the tactic known as Vuolunot, which consists of forcing anywhere from 20,000 to 100,000 troops to gouge enormous amounts of food and energy and using this fuel to raze the targets. Furalos used this in the final moments of the Belhubyr-Ipiasir War, and was later assassinated for it in 24979 AYM.
Biography
Early Life and the Crisis of 24982 AYM
Furalos was born to Ilekril as part of the
Kaultedt Family in
Elironid. When the Crisis of 24982 AYM broke out, Ilekril immediately associated himself with the Belhubyrians, an
Arkheotorian subtribe. Furalos himself tended more towards the Ardunir, and was often resentful of his situation during the Crisis. When the Family was evicted, however, he nonetheless sailed with the rest of the Belhubyrians, and lived with them for the majority of his life.
Rise to Power
In 28 Ulta-Eimarae, 24981 AYM, Ilekril was granted control of an army, and was placed under the jurisdiction of Gintor. However, the Battle of Orm-Delar soon occurred, and the tribe's trust in Gintor decreased drastically. After Gintor was assassinated in 7 Suta-Eimarae, Ilekril formed part of the Belhubyrian Tetrarchy. However, he was mortally wounded in an ambush in 20 Suta-Eimarae, and Furalos stepped in and took temporary control of his army before Ruhovio stepped in and combined his army with Furalos'. However, Ruhovio was captured by Ipiasian forces on the 26th, and, with the rest of the Tetrarchy busy with domestic affairs, Furalos took full control of Ruhovio and Ilekril's armies.
Furalotian Campaign
In 27 Suta-Eimarae, 24981 AYM, Furalos gave the order to conduct what is now known as Vuolunot, and over 50,000 soldiers each consumed around 300 tons of rock over 1 day. The following morning, he set them loose on the Belhubyrians, and oversaw the conquering of the entirety of Ipiasir as well as the signing of the Treaty of Truimaw on the 6th. However, despite this victory, both Ipiasians and Belhubyrians saw his tactics as too cruel and immoral. The remnants of the Tetrarchy refused to grant Furalos a position in the government, and his conquered Ipiasians refused to collaborate with him.
Downfall and Assassination
In the next two years, the Ipiasians formed a new government in direct opposition to Furalos, and although Furalos struggled to subdue the people under his control, most of his followers had switched to following the Ipiasians. Finally, after a failed Vuolunot attack in 3 Yota-Eimarae, 24979 AYM, the Ipiasians launched a counterattack on his headquarters, killing him and his last remaining allies.
