Son Altesse Souveraine (abrv. S.A.S.) is the styling of the Sovereign Prince of Dverghjem (Suverene Prins av Dverghjem, Souverain du Ville-du-Génial).
S.A.S. is traditionally conferred by royal descent (genealogically) to their natural heir apparent:

1. their eldest direct descendent
2. their next-eldest sibling's first born
3. their next-eldest first-cousin

Although exceedingly rare, there is one exception to the aforementioned line of descent - the S.A.S. may declare non-confidence in their chain of successors (to any length but the end). This decision must be formalized prior to their death by either city-state-wide proclamation (new heir apparent) or ceremony (new S.A.S.). This system inherently prevents S.A.S. from undermining similar actions of their predecessors.
Interestingly, an heir apparent can be of any gender; however, the form of address (S.A.S.) remains distinctly masculine in form.
