Fey Cat Species in Omari | World Anvil

Fey Cat

These frisky felines can be tricky to keep as pets. But if you're willing to put in the effort to train them and deal with their extra cat crimes, they make for loyal and loving companions.
— Notes from Wonder's Bestiary.
Fey cats are a species of feline that roam the various habitats of Omari's Feywild. They come in a handful of sizes, colors, and fur patterns. Some folk keep them as pets, but they are considered an advanced species to care for.

Physical Description

They are similar in shape to a standard house cat. Their size varies from smaller than domesticated cats to slightly larger. Fey cats have four legs, a tail, pointed ears, and whiskers. A noticeable difference is the pair of wings attached to their backs.   Their coats can be short or long and on rare occasions in warm habitats, hairless variants have been found. Coat colors come in a spectrum of bright pastels with a faint shimmer over the fur. Their wings are feathered and usually match the fur color.   Fey cats have keen eyes built to see well in the dark. They are often deep gold or emerald.

Habitat

Fey cats are native to the Feywild and are considered invasive species if found elsewhere. They can survive in the realm's different seasonal lands. Their species prefer areas with a lot of foliage to blend into when hunting.

Diet

They are carniverous and hunt together in small groups. Their prey ranges from birds and rodents, up to other larger mammals they can manage to take down together.
