Kittychino

"Come one come all to the debut of our newest drink at the Cozy Corner! There's nothing better to warm up your mittens during the monsoon season than our adorable kittychino. For this week only they'll be half priced. Patrons who visit during this promotion will be able to bring home the cup as well to keep as a limited edition keepsake! We'll even make the foam kitty look like one of our many furry friends if you request upon order." - A flyer printed on pink paper surrounded by a boarder of cat paws and fish bones. 

This hot, foamy coffee is a unique drink offered at the Cozy Corner cat cafe. During a random slow period, the owner decided to add a new drink to the menu that stood out from the standard coffee, tea, and smoothies. He wanted something catchy to bring more attention to their shop and cause. A special week long promotion kicked off its launch to spark interest. The owner spent the weekend before launch handing out and posting sparkly fliers all over Kotimo. He was sure to spread the news to both locals and tourists in the hopes word of mouth would spread as far as possible. These fliers were enchanted to give off the pleasant scent of the drink without being too strong or fading. 
The kittychino is served in a sturdy, ceramic mug shaped like a rotund cat. The handle is a tail that stems from a painted cat image. Each mug is unique, sporting a different background and animal. The depicted cats are all individuals the cafe have adopted out to good homes in the past or current residents waiting for a furrever home. If customers ordered during the promotion, they were allowed to bring home the mug. If they decide to adopt a cat, they can bring home the cup with their corresponding image. Otherwise, after the first week, the remaining mugs stayed at the cafe. The owner commissioned a local artist to paint them. They are also a regular and can often be seen enjoying a drink in a quiet corner while working in a sketchbook or on their laptop.

Not only does this delightful coffee come in the usual offered flavors, it also comes in a new honey gingerbread option. This rich flavor was added to the normal coffee and tea listings after the first month due to popularity. For no extra cost, a cinnamon, chocolate, or strawberry powder dusting can be added. All ingredients used are of the highest quality and ethically sourced. Vegan and lactose free ingredients are also available upon request.

Manufacturing process

A barista fills a mug partway with fresh brewed coffee mixed thoroughly with the requested flavor add-ins and cream. Once steamed and frothy, they carefully dollop on the milk to form the head of a cat. Chocolate and/or caramel syrup is used to draw on the face and fur markings before the drink is served to the customer.
