The 10th day of Perbas of the year 1895

Created by

Almost two thousand years has passed since the Balancing, an event that cut the gods off from direct access to the world while simultaneously giving easy access to the Arcane power source through leylines drawn by the gods themselves. While most still worship the Host, their once constant and active presence has ceased, leaving divine servants to continue their work among the mortals.   Magic in this world is divided into three sources of power, where the Arcane currently reigns as the most common and easy to use. This ease of access has driven the world into an industrious age of Arcane advancement, with trains and flying ships bringing people together. The other two sources are Divine, weakened by the absence of the Host, and Elemental, a source that has always been selective in its users.   Meanwhile the cultures of the world have adapted to the new natural order, thriving and growing from the smallest villages to the large metropolis that sits at the center of the world. Through both war and technology, much has changed since the gods sacrificed their direct control on the material plane.
