Dragonborn

These boisterous and powerful dragon-kin are said to be descendants of the ancient dragons that roamed Gaia in millennia past.
"Being a proud member of this species, himself, the author will try his best to be unbiased in his presentation of facts regarding the Dragonborn.   While our physical features might seem outlandish and far too rugged to some of the more elegant species of Gaia, we nevertheless possess the selfsame ability for emotion and poetic expression as our other humanoid counterparts. Far from beasts, and yet so alike the ancient and powerful fliers of myth.   We, Dragonborn, are easily differentiated in terms of origin based solely on the judgement of our scales and abilities. Having in mind one's abilities, discerning lineage becomes a trifling matter. Each of us take immense pride in that heritage, that much is certain."

  • A small excerpt from the book 'Intelligent Life in Gaia', by Hum'ro Skadi, as published in 2335 AFL.

  •   While their other humanoid-draconic hybrid counterparts, the Drak'khari, carry more humanoid and in general Hume-like features, the Dragonborn's beastly appearance can be somewhat more menacing. Said to be descended directly from dragons which took illusory humanoid forms to mate with humanoids in ages long-gone - the stories about which are treated as both fictional romance and accurate lore, depending on whom the question is directed to - these mighty people are numerous and have secured a place of respect among other cultures.

    Breath Weapon

You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your breath weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

    Damage Resistance

You have resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic ancestry.
