Prenggo

A species of small humanoid rodents that have historically seldom left their home in Khumbal, a diminutive city south of the Jötunnwillow.
"... Are known to me only by the tales of those who have ventured the lands near the great tree. As such, I apologize for the briefness of my comments - though I suppose it cannot be helped at current.   Regardless, the words regaled to me told of a mighty, but small nation of rodent humanoids that lead lives focused on the arts, having surpassed the need for labour due to their heightened magical aptitude. All hard work that is not automated is revered by the other members of the species, who serve each other in an eternal revelry that pays great respect to those who serve the whole, while not diminishing those who do what they will."

  • A small excerpt from the book 'Intelligent Life in Gaia', by Hum'ro Skadi, as published in 2335 AFL.

  •   While the Prenggo have been historically absent from the history books, their accomplishments are none the lesser. Beings of seemingly infinite agility and cleverness, they have built a large nation hidden in the forests south of the great tree of life.   Due to their early grasp of the nature of magic, their community has flourished for millennia. While their technology isn't the most advanced, the prenggi culture is vast with a seemingly infinite library of songs for every occasion - some even said to be prophecies. This also extends to their poetry, visual arts and architecture. Their elegant households serve more than just function, as they are sights to behold.   As of 2394 AFL, some Prenggo have begun to venture out into the world after a meeting with the prophetic saviour that vanquished the dark presence that threatened to overtake the world.
