Verillante's List of Wonders
This list, compiled by the historian Leston Verillante, is made up of grand and wonderous creations from ancient times. How they were crafted and by whom it was done, is knowledge lost to the times. Each wonder on the list is located on a different continent, bringing the total up to five, as Verillante was never allowed into Tembaricar, and Rimelea doesn't have anything notable enough to include.
The Corefrost Spires
The namesake of the southern pole of Omeria, the Corefrost Spires rise up all around the coastline of the icy continent. No-one quite knows how they're supposed to be used, but the leading theory is that they have something to do with channeling magic. Because of how hostile the land is, no expeditions sent further in to the continent have survived, so it is unknown if any larger mechanisms are connected to the spires. However, it is theorized that the giants or dragons of the continent have some grander construct of which the spires are only a small part. A more far-fetched theory is that the entire planet is some arcane creation, and the spires serve as a way to either channel or gather its power.Sanctum of the Three and One
The Sanctum of the Three and One is possibly the single most impressive building in all of Omeria. Though its size or design might be impressive on their own, the true marvel lies in its construction. The entire temple area is carved out of the mountain in a single piece. Across all of the complec, not a single seam can be found, and tanks to the care of the Trinitan priests, the sanctum still stands in perfect shape. The local legend says that the Trinitan gods created the temple as a seat for The Sunspeaker to rule from. Other theories include that a mage of unfathomable power created it in ancient days, or that a single elven druid spent all their life to carve it from the mountain. The Warriors of Maryvaire
The wooden statues show three warriors and two mages in the midst of battle. While their large size makes it unrealistic, the craftmanship would almost suggest that they at some point were real people. But even the craftsmanship alone isn't enough to warrant their status in this list. That comes from the fact that despite being nonmagical and untreated, the wood still hasn't aged a day since they were constructed by the master craftsman Jaha Ishirlat two millennia ago. And even if someone was to damage it, even going as far as to cut of a limb from one of the statues, the wood regrows in a matter of days. Jaha also made several other of these statues, but none quite as detailed or as large as the Warriors. The Egg of Morag
Located in the capital of Alaritha, this giant egg made of white marble and crystal inlays has spurred many legends. The main one, and its namesake, is that this egg contains the next avtar of Morag. When it hatches, she is supposed to return and bring destruction upon Omeria.Castle Tarriwear
A famous castle high in the mountains of Craitrach, Tarriwear was constructed by mages more than two millennia ago. The construction of the castle itself is impractical, the building crafted mainly as a display of the talent of the wizards involved in its making. High in the mountains, the castle is suspended above a chasm many hundred feet deep. Only a single bridge connects it to the mountains, and the entire bottom of the castle is made out of glass panels, allowing one to see all the way to the ground beneath.Remove these ads.
