Codex Automata

Of the myths of the codices, the Codex Automata is one of the most widely known and accepted as truth. It is said to create kings out of impoverished men, and raise armies out of thin air. Many believe the book grants wealth as well, given it's mythos, but scholars on the subject of the Codices believe this to be speculation.
Of those that have studied the Codex Automata's history, most scholars believe that it was written by Anndraias Ghamal, a sorcerous servitor of the to the beginnings of the Andamaran Empire. Consensus states that the Codex was used to quell early rebellion. Tales are told of a fortress that would move to Ghamal's will, and he would move it at the Emperor's behest, collecting taxes and unleashing troops from inside to control a town as needed.

Rarity

While the Codex Automata has a reputation for exchanging hands most frequently of the Codices, the fact remains that outside a few cases, all of the Codices have a semi-mythical quality lent directly from their rarity.
