Death
Mehella'su's followers view death with a stoic reverence. They understand that death is an inevitable stage in the cycle of life in Omiralon, whether fate gives them more or less time. They also believe, however, that Death is only part of the cycle and if they find favor with Mehella'su, they may be given another cycle to continue their existence - be that in the world, or in the existence beyond.
Burial
Burial, to the followers of Mehella'su, is thought of as a sacred duty, and the rituals practiced vary widely based on the deceased's views in life. Believers focused on this aspect of Mehella'su's teachings fiercely guard the burial traditions, following them strictly. Practices vary, including cremation, submersion, earthen, and construction. No matter the method, once a body is placed in its final surroundings, the material used is considered sacred from that point forward, and they do not allow outsiders access to further disturb it. As a result, many cities regard cemeteries and whole bays as sacred, to be entered with true solemnity and deference.
Law
Mehella'su, in his teachings, is very clear about Law. As a believer, all laws are seen as at least guided by the hand of Mehella'su and should be regarded as his divine word, even if they are in opposition to the individual. Mehella'su's followers in positions of power often rely heavily on the local government system and their involvement in it, believing that if it is Mehella'su's will for their ideals to become law, He will show favor on them and it will be done. As a result, the structure within Mehella'su's clergy is extremely hierarchical, with rigid structures of ascension.
Tenets of Faith
- Laws, like life force, are both inflexible and final. None shall escape their grip.
- All life is cyclical - Individuals and ideals may yet repeat themselves. Act accordingly.
- Tread upon the ground with respect, lest you be buried in it.
