The Shield of Garring

The Shield of Garring is actually a sword that has been broken into 5 pieces during the reclamation of the Keep for which it was named. The blade was magical, and when the blade was broken, the magic seeped into the walls of the keep, beginning to restore them. Should the sword be removed from the Keep, the keep will return to the wilds, crumbling in on itself and conceding ground to the rapacious plantlife surrounding the Keep.
