The vote of the century. Just a month ago, NATO had begun debates over a ratification that could change the world. Deepcore Foundation, the world leader in mining and weapon technology; among other things, had displayed how powerful a new type of bomb was. They referred to it as Edenite Bombs, each one having their energy significantly enhanced thanks to the awesome power of these gems. They displayed its power with the Castle Bravo nuke, and the results were devastating. The vote has been held on, among other things in the SODOM bill, whether NATO should prohibit the construction of Edenite Bombs worldwide… Tensions were high, as both sides argued for a long time on the things discussed in the bill, including a ban on Edenite-powered bombs. The final vote came down to one man, and the consequences of the vote would change history forever...
October 25th, 1962
“Run, run!” Adriana Shepard heard yells around her as the people of Moonblight were rushed down into a bunker. Outside, air raid sirens echoed, indicating the nuclear disaster that was about to fall… the news report was swift: the crisis that was ongoing in Cuba has escalated to war. Both countries have launched Ice-charged Edenite Nukes at each other. The world would never be the same, she knew, when she and her family left the shelter once the threat had passed…
She felt a freezing chill go down her spine as the sirens died out into echoes...
