Grakaenaian Government

For all effective purposes the governing body of the Grakaenaios species and the personhood of the Queen Mother Grakaena are one and the same. Her word is absolute law and aside from the human-form Ambassador caste, she speaks on behalf of her entire race.

Structure

The Queen Mother Grakaena is the supreme ruler of the Grakaenaioi.

Public Agenda

Their stated agenda is to prepare for the eventual coming of The Flare. They have promised to help human civilization within the Omoia Alliance to flourish to its utmost potential in order to stand the best chances of surviving an extra-solar invasion force.

Assets

The Grakaenaioi do not use technology or any other constructed resource. Their only assets are the individual Grakaenaioi caste members. Since encountering Essies, the Queen Mother has produced numerous different members of the Variant caste with unique super powers. On loan to the humans are a number of individuals with powers of teleportation, terraforming, and construction.

Demography and Population

Scientists estimate the birth rate of the Grakaenaioi to be 0.2-2 individuals/day. The death rate and average life span is unknown. The current population is unknown but estimated to be in the upper hundreds of thousands.

Territories

They have complete soverign control over the moon of Dodan. Their treaty with the Omoia Alliance also grants them provisional authority within the confines of the embassies within most major human cities.

Military

Their military force is composed of an unknown number of Warrior caste soldiers the Queen Mother has bequethed with combat-suitable superpowers she mimiced from the Essies she has encountered. They are housed within the subterranean tunnels of Dodan.

Foreign Relations

They have an established peace and cooperation treaty with the humans of the Omoia Alliance.

Agriculture & Industry

Although unconfirmed, scientists generally agree that the Grakaenaioi have some sort of agriculture system in the tunnels of Dodan that provide their entire race with sufficient nutrition. It is believed to involve the use of superpowers.

Trade & Transport

As part of the treaty, the Grakaenaioi trade services in the form of superpowered caste labor for the humans in exchange for various goods and general good will.

Education

The entire population is educated via the inheritance of genetic memory. Several of the human-form caste have attended typical human educational establishments to learn human customs and laws. These reported back to the queen and future Ambassadors were simply born with understandings of humans.

Infrastructure

As part of the treaty, humans have refrained from any attempts to map the subterranean tunnels of Dodan or estimate the Grakaenaian infrastructure. It is apparently sufficient to sustain their entire race.
