Votis

A watery planet in the Astrae System, the third closest to Sena.
It was colonized by the Azazi Empire. It remained under direct control of the Emperor until enough momentum grew within the populace to declare their pseudo-independence as the Azazi Protectorate. They are now a vassal of the Empire. The first overseer of the planet named himself “Speaker of the Emperor” and a new religion and theocracy developed around him. In this religion, the Emperor is seen as a god-like figure and the Speaker is his high priest. The Emperor has remained largely indifferent towards the religion, although some say that he encourages it because it gives him more control over Votis. The Speaker is the head of government of the Azazi Protectorate. Due to the particular nature of the Essie abilities that were used to terraform the planet, 80% of its surface is covered by fresh water.
