House of Wolves

Basic Information

Anatomy

The House of Wolves are the most human-looking house of vampires, perhaps with the exception of the House of Widows. They have pale, white skin and eyes that burn like miniature suns. They also possess six long, sharp fangs in their mouths, two on the top jaw and two on the bottom, designed to puncture blood vessels and drain victims of blood. They have the ability to move through the air as if weightless, and use this power to traverse long distances quickly, leading group hunts under the light of the winter moon.

Genetics and Reproduction

Like all vampires, the House of Wolves create more of their own through administering the Old Blood to mortal victims. After being administered the blood, the transformation is typically complete in a matter of days, during which the victim's eyes change, their teeth elongate, and their skin becomes paler. Many of these changes can be quite jarring until they are gotten used to. The increased sensitivity to light can be painful, and the rapidly growing teeth can cause bleeding in the gums.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The House of Wolves feeds off the blood of mortals. In the long winter nights of the frozen north, they lead group hunts across the night sky to raid small villages and take victims back to their castle at Talon Rock. When human blood is scarce in their harsh home, they are not above feeding on wild beasts, although they typically keep live victims imprisoned in their castle keep to ensure a steady supply of blood.
