Lemongrab comes to the Candy Kingdom claiming reign due to Princess Bubblegum's temporary youth.

Having been thrown into a radioactive pool during the fight with the Lich, Princess Bubblegum is possessed by the Lich. The Lich is expelled from her body when Ice King freezes her monstrous form and it shatters, breaking her into multiple pieces. PB is put back together by candy doctors, but there is not enough gum, resulting in her regresses to age 13. Because she is no longer legally old enough to rule the Candy Kingdom, Lemongrab arrives to claim his throne as the heir.
