A Lord Mayor is the ruler of an historically important town or city. The title is mainly archaic, harking back to the early days of the Age of Integrity, when organized hierarchies were rare outside of major population centers.
A Lady Mayor is the relatively uncommon feminine form of the title of Lord Mayor. The most famous user of the title is Lady Odabella Greene, the popular and outspoken ruler of Brightwater.
