Sarastran Exodus

The Sarastran Exodus is the mass movement of the members and ex-members of the Order of Sarastro out of the town of Breughelland after the Day of Ascension.
An estimated 3,000 Sarastrans died in the two attacks by the Battalion of Degenerates (the first being the Eclipsed Wedding). Some percentage of those were not Breughelland residents, though the exact breakdown is unknown. The earthquakes, fires, apocalyptic meteor storms, and other supernatural disasters destroyed many homes and businesses in the town, displacing at least another 1,500 people.
Refugees have scattered in several directions after this event. Some planned to make their way to the outskirts of Val-Nurem or Brightwater, while a few have traveled northeast to seek shelter at the Ostrogh Redoubt. According to scouting reports of the Central Duchy, many fleeing caravans have already become targets of the Volksconfedrat and other raiders.
Outside of Breughelland, the influence of the religion has already faded significantly from public life. The congregations once gathered outside the Temple of Life and Death in Cantonova to protest for a Sarastran shrine disappeared almost immediately. In Val-Nurem, the second-largest Sarastran temple (the Cathedral of the Righteous Path) has closed, and Emperor Amadeus has publicly disavowed his involvement in the religion.
