Using a specially enchanted pickaxe made for the purpose, you tap a point on the ground and break through to reach the ley lines that flow through the Ethereal Plane, creating a powerful Wellspring. This wellspring appears as a glowing green, blue, or purple spring of light at the point where you struck the ground. It sheds dim light in a 10-foot radius and cannot be extinguished for the duration of the spell, except by way of Dispel Magic.
When you tap into the ground, yourself and up to six creatures you choose gain access to the power of the wellspring. Any spell that an affected creature casts while standing within 10 feet of the wellspring consumes only 1/10th of the material cost it normally would. If it is an attack spell, it gains a +2 bonus; if it is a spell requiring a saving throw, the saving throw DC rises by 2.
If you are not within 10 miles of a ley line when you cast this spell, the spell fails (and the spell slot is not expended).
