Humans are second only to gnomes in reckless disregard for their own safety and their ingenuity. Though they are doubtlessly the most powerful of the creations of divinity, they are also the most fickle and fragile. Further, they are the most proliferous race, with a healthy bit of caution and healthy sexual lifestyles.

History

"The Gods showed the first human to YISUN, bringing her in a walnut shell because she was so delicate. They could not believe how small and frail she was. Though she slept quite peacefully, at every breath they quailed and wrung their hands, fearing that she would fall apart at any moment. They crept carefully and cautiously into YISUN’s speaking hall, cradling her and whispering in hushed tones as they gently presented her upon a cushion before the Lord of Songs.

According to the 104th Psalm, humans were the first Perceivers created by Koss and Aesma in an attempt to warp the inquisitive warm black flame. The God Koss gave the first Human, Metia, her form. However, Aesma's distractions and interference flawed this form, meaning she could succumb to the ravages of time, and eventually die from her age. Further, Koss stoked the forges too vigorously in his anger at Aesma, accidentally granting these humans - and, eventually, all Perceivers - a great ambition that would consume them. Eventually, they and the rest of the Perceivers would be banished from Orasrupt. Records are not clear as to why.
