Sadhu Way

Sadhu Way is a several miles stretch of the Kingsroad very near the very pinnacle of Orasrupt, where the Sevenfold Pact was signed. Sadhu Way is notable for its concentration of ascetics - there are over three thousand monks living along this stretch of road, begging for coin to live, meditating on the meaning of existence and YISUN.   Depending on how thick someone's accent is, it is very possible to mistake Sadhu Way for Saddleway. The Beggar Monks stubbornly refuse to change this name.

Alterations

Over time, shacks and shelters have been built for the monks. Some even live in barrels.

History

Sadhu Way was a relatively normal stretch of road, until, like many things, it changed during the Universal War.   Early into the war, the demiurge Guan Yu found himself horrified at the nature of the war - the loss of life in the Universal War exceeded any other conflict within only a few years. He felt hatred for the power in his brow, and anger at how the Word of YISUN was twisted. Guan Yu plucked the power from his own brow in its entirety, split it, and gave it away (though none he gave it to would survive the war). On the Sadhu Way, he sat upon one of several ruined pillars until the end of his life.   Others would join him, in protest of the Universal War, all pondering the Name and Whims and Will of YISUN.
