Fauna & Flora

Much of the fauna in the library is limited to defensive measures, and things that might gain any use from the books. For example, wind elementals left to guard the library may suck books in the library into whirlwinds, automatons may burrow into them and the subsequent bookshelves, and mimics galore assume various shapes in the confines of the library.
