Annique

The old and tired mother of Mayor Nicholas. Annique stays indoors most of the day, stuck to her bed and sipping gruel while muttering about monsters and bad crops. 
Annique was once a very active farmer who raised her four sons in the arts of labouring and caring for the soil. Her husband died in the war against the Demons, as well as three of her sons. No amount of weeping could help her get back in the game, and her young Nicholas shouldered all the work in her stead.
