Count Raoul del Vannos (a.k.a. "The Crazed")

An originally humble and just ruler whose strange ambitions forced to slaughter his own kind to achieve domination over the Dentra Dukedom. The Count of Vannos personnaly stabbed the three leading members of the Dentra dynasty, precisely one day after the families were bound in mariage. The following weeks, Raoul insisted everything the Dentra built be bequeathed to his own family. After usurping his benefactor's realm, he was in turn removed from power by his own allies who ruled over Dentra for the next two centuries, allowing the surviving Dentra cousins to recover outside the Dukedom.
Raoul was known for his kindness to lower classes of people and his fair judgement of his own kin. The reasons for his assassination attempts remain unsolved to this day, and some wonder if it wasn't some sort of plot with him as the scapegoat. The truth, however, is that Raoul did indeed do the deed. For the county of Vannos' greatest secret was that its ruler was posessed, raving mad out of nowhere as if replaced by a more dangerous entity at times.
