Deaths in Orbido

Diseases and famines and war. Those were the greater concerns of the previous home of the First Sent , but Monsters are the main threat the faces Orbidian settlers, and theirs is a terrible one. Swarms and powerful fiends have rendered entire villages worth of people to shreds, though the vigilance of modern countries has diminished these tragedies occurring. With each year passing, an estimate twenty thousand souls perish under the claws, fangs and unnatural abilities of fiends.
Then come the diseases, all are theoretically easily dealt with should the realm have knowledge extracted from Sent sages or from a distant point in the Old World's time. However, . Dysentery, measles and the occasionnal epidemics of Yellow Blood or Red Death take their tolls. While more erratic in their reaping, they almost tie with the monsters at eighteen thousand deaths per year.
Following the diseases close by are all deaths connected to childbirth. The event affects each species more differently than diseases. The Demons for instance have no issue giving birth though the long period of gestation and the difficulty in impregnating bring other sorts of death to the table.
War is not as destructive as the monsters can be, with monsters forcing battles to occur between years, not at all times. Still, to perish in combat is a fairly normal occurence, especially in the Eastern parts of Situla . The deads of the Demon Empire and Fortern Kingdom are the leaders these days, while the egotistical August Menia Kindom has stopped butchering itself through inheritance politics.
