Christopho seeing the dread fate awaiting his realm.

Placid, contemptible, but surprisingly charitable. Cristopho Dentra is not a man who sees glasses as half-full, which might have something to do with the fact he is blind. The young Duque of the Dentra Dukedom inherited his ancestor's land after almost two centuries of his dynasty's absence. An honor he doesn't particularily feel when it came at the cost of his eyesight. The previous rulers threw the last blow.

As a short-reigning ruler, he has a lot of burdens awaiting him. His realm is on the verge of annexation to the Fortern Kingdom, a Midlander colony has been established on the western shores, past a stretch of dense forest, and most of his armed forces have become mercenaries for the highest bidder. The highest being, again, the Fortern Kingdom.
Despite his good education and instincts, he has not enough experience to handle the politics. Thus Christopho relies heavily on his assistants and scribes to resolve problems, only acting as figure-head when necessary. One of his assistants being his competent wife who acts as his eyes and ears, especialy the eyes of course.
