Hadami

Sensitive Settlement

Western-most city of the Van Republic positioned on the very edge of the slowly advancing Desert. Once a mere fortress, it acted as the first line of defense against the potential Menian threat and the strange Arbekan. It slowly grew into a proper city with no small amount of trading in spite of all.

Etymology

Originally refered to as Hadami Fortress, it kept its moniker when the settlement expanded beyond its original purposes. "Hadami" means "skin" or "body", and refers to the region's role as the first to receive whatever came in the realm's way, be it wind or blades.
