Walk soldier walk on

A popular marching song of the Demon Legion, sung during the long walks towards battle.   While some verses have been part of the song for decades, any officier whose turn it is to sing can use his own made-up words. They can also repeat the previous verse if they're out of ideas. All in all, the marching song is a great way to make noise to keep monsters at bay and spirits high.

Purpose

This song's rythm follows the rapid marching of Imperial Legionnaires, making it easier for the entire column to share the same pace. It passes the time, raises moral, and the noise repels bloodthirsty monsters who understand that these soldiers won't be easy preys. Any disruption to the song also helps identify where trouble is coming from. However, when advancing in ennemy territories, the song loses its purpose as it is so loud the opponents can hear the army coming from great distances.
