Era beginning/end

After the initial shock of the Sending, the people of the Old World that appeared in the Verdant Steppes as little Imps begin to thrive.

The early stage of the Empire began when the First Sent that turned into impish creatures managed to form somewhat competent settlements in the Verdant Steppe regions. The evolution into Hellions they witnessed as they slayed monsters and protected their fellows inspired them to explore and spread throughout the fertile region. No longer human, they named themselves Daemons. They embraced their new state in texts and stories for their future descendants. villages were built near the rivers and agriculture began its course. Since they were all once part of civilisation they could never return too, they built a new one from scratch. It wasn't known as the Empire yet, mostly an alliance of distant villages. The population numbered in the thousands only, and monsterous beast began attacking the villages that settled near the giant forrest. They needed to grow as a people before expanding beyond the Verdant Steppes.
