Prismite

A raw mineral found in the unusual conditions of the Cosmopurra reaches. Its mostly limited to Aegira and its nieghboring bodies, but that extens beyond the planet to include even its moon. As such its not wholly clear where the trail ends, just where its easiest to access by a settled society with the Daegir tigirens making strong use of it.   The name actually came late, after the effect and device was harnessed. Early Aegiran settlers were thought to once call it Magieeret. However once its potential was synced with digital outlets, an it could be controlled and seen to display effects of retracting and expanding out energy and colors of souls and whole beings, the capsules for it became known as Prisms, and the refined crystal in retrospect became called Prismite.   On its own, the crystals and rocks they're found within do very little. However they can interact and counteract with mana, magic, and high fluctuations of aura dispelling. Some even describe a hallucinatory sensation brought out, disrupting a sense of space and time or out-of-body experiences once its energies are met - though this is hard and even arguably dangerous to provoke for controlled understanding. As such, large forms of it, or alternate outlets can be used to detter or counter certain magic advances or even unnatural beings. It also transmites a signature that some set devices can tune to with proper calibrations. However to properly engage or make use of it in other formats, it needs to be fixed with further devices made for its signature. From there it can be turned into a projective counter-mana shield, or prism devices.
