Shimhar
A natural ability around Ziva, thought to be integral to their soul. Some religious theory even promotes it is their 'magic heart', even if it can be removed, such religions speculate the rest of its essence is poured back into what still remains. The Shimhar is sometimes spoken of like an animal, a familiar, its own person, or the subconscious of the person its tied with. Its unknown in full earnest, but is visible to life around the ziva charged with it. In its use, a two-sided head of a serpentine creature appears, flying and charging onto the land. Where it moves to, it opens up a magical portal, and allows long-distant traversal in a magical instant.
Shimhar allows ziva and close permitted people to travers long expanses of territory through portals. This is not to be confused with what ziva more commonly call 'portals' they emit in a very close (often visible from each other) reach, or blink-warping travel that often still requires physical reaching clearance. The Shimhar allows them to reach further distances, some even claiming the limit is only what is in the heart's intent, though often this is to suggest places they've still been or have a clue for. A wider if inconsistent claim is that showing a Shimhar an item from a place will take them there. While its not been over-proven to be perfectly stable, enough accounts have formed to prove the Shimhars of people do have the ability (sometimes without their master's intent) to seek out newer places, or erase barriers, but this is usually on their own terms and seldom known to occur.
If a shimhar is hurt and wounded, their use might be more suspended, and the user will sometimes feel ill, sore, or magically impaired until the healing is done. If the shimhar dies however, then it is described that the sympathetic length is severed. Magic and feeling are often fine for the ziva, but they are forever impaired to use long-form travel, or to speak with a shimhar, as it is forever gone and only able to see and have one in their life. These are called Dishar people. Dishar may still seek help with those like drath and their teleport systems.
Manifestation
Appears as a large snake-like creature with heads on both its ends. Colors, expression, and speed may all vary. The entity can be 'touched' and even harmed by most witnesses, and is most vulnerable to other forms of hostile magic.
