Grush
Grush is the deity worshipped by the orcs. He is often depicted as a hulking, muscular figure with a fierce countenance, wielding a massive weapon or an object of power. Grush is known to be a god of war and conquest, and his followers believe that he grants them immense strength and power in battle.
Grush is also associated with fire and destruction, and his followers often use fire as a tool of war, both to intimidate their enemies and to destroy their enemies' structures and fortifications. He is sometimes called the "Fire God" by his worshippers, and his presence is said to be felt in the intense heat of battle.
Despite his warlike nature, Grush is not considered an evil deity by his followers. Instead, he is seen as a protector and provider for the orcish people, and his followers believe that he will help them defend their homes and families from all threats. Grush is demands loyalty and obedience from his followers. Those who break this code are punished severely, sometimes with death.
Grush's corrupting influence is insidious and relentless. At first, it might seem like a simple offer of protection and power in exchange for worship, but over time, the true cost becomes apparent. Those who follow Grush become more aggressive, more ruthless, and more willing to use violence to get what they want.
The deity's influence slowly twists their minds and souls, feeding on their anger and fear and driving them to greater and greater acts of savagery. As they become more powerful, they become more isolated from the other races, seeing themselves as superior and above the laws and norms that govern others.
The corruption of Grush often starts with a simple desire to protect one's family or tribe, but it quickly spirals out of control, consuming the orc's entire being and turning them into ruthless conquerors who care only for their own power and dominance. Many orcs are aware of the danger of Grush's influence, but they feel trapped by the power it gives them and the fear of losing it if they try to break away.
