Liadr Pass
Liadra and Liadros are two imposing forts located on either side of a narrow Liadr mountain pass that connects the lands of Ratasmor and Elfmonia . They were built centuries ago to prevent any undesired intruders from entering Elfmonia, a land of magic and mystery inhabited by the elusive elves. The pass is the only land route that leads to Elfmonia, making it a strategically important location for the elves to protect.
Liadra, the fort on the Ratasmor side of the pass, is a massive stone structure built into the side of the mountain. It is surrounded by a deep moat filled with icy water from the nearby mountain streams. The walls of the fort are thick and sturdy, made of local stone and reinforced with iron bars. The main gate is guarded by a team of skilled soldiers armed with swords and crossbows, and a watchtower at the top of the fort provides a clear view of the surrounding area.
On the opposite side of the pass, Liadros stands as a mirror image of Liadra. It too is a formidable structure, built into the side of the mountain with a deep moat and thick stone walls. The soldiers who guard it are highly skilled in archery, able to hit a target from a great distance. The fort also has a watchtower with a clear view of the surrounding area, allowing the soldiers to spot any potential threats from afar.
The two forts are connected by a narrow road that winds through the mountain pass, with the towering peaks of the mountains on either side. The area around the forts is bleak and barren, with only a few hardy plants and trees able to survive in the harsh mountain environment. The pass is prone to sudden snowstorms and icy winds, making travel through it treacherous even for the most experienced travelers.
