The twelve infernal pits

The Twelve Infernal Pits are a vast complex of caverns and tunnels deep beneath the surface of the earth, and are said to be the realm of Kor , the archdevil of trickery. These pits are filled with an unending array of fiendish creatures and hellish landscapes, from lakes of boiling tar to mountains of razor-sharp obsidian. The air is thick with the scent of brimstone and sulfur, and the sky is a sickly red hue, as if stained by the blood of countless battles fought in these pits. Each of the twelve pits has its own unique features and inhabitants. The pits include Pit of Despair, Pit of Envy, the Pit of Greed, the Pit of Wrath, the Pit of Lust, the Pit of Gluttony, the Pit of Sloth, the Pit of Pride, the Pit of Deception, the Pit of Betrayal, the Pit of Chaos, and the Pit of Death. Each pit is ruled by a powerful Devil , and each has its own set of dangers and challenges for those who dare to enter.   Legends say that at the very bottom of the twelve pits lies the throne of Kor himself, where he sits in judgment over all who enter his domain. It is said that those who manage to reach the throne of Kor and defeat him will gain unimaginable power and wealth, but no one has ever succeeded in this quest.
