Bahamut
Description
Bahamut is the mother goddess of the Dragonborn race, architect of the 101 Precepts of Order, and ruler of The Metallic Halls in Celestia. When the world was born, Bahamut and her brother Tiamat were born from an egg deep in the sea. The two embodied opposing forces, where Bahamut was patient and orderly, Tiamat was rash and chaotic. The two separated, and traveled over the whole world in five days before reuniting. When they met, they both declared their opinions of the world and what should be done with it. Unable to agree, they fought for another five days and nights with other gods lending their aid to their favored sibling. Eventually, Charon stepped in on the side of Bahamut, tipping the balance and causing Tiamat to stumble in a moment of weakness. It was then that Bahamut slew him with a blast of her five breaths that cleaved the very land upon which they fought and sent Tiamat's body flying across the ocean, never to be seen again. After the battle, Bahamut laid 5 eggs containing the first dragons - her children - crafted dragonborn by placing a drop of the blood from her wounds into one hundred constructs of clay and giving them of them one of her five breaths. She commanded them to found a nation to protect her eggs while she recovered from her wounds and when their task was complete they would be rewarded with the land upon which her eggs lay provided that they rule it fairly and follow the 101 Precepts of Order.

In truth, Tiamat was not slain, but crippled. He lives still, scarred and weakened by lack of worshipers, contained under the mountains in the Elvish lands of the west by an order of druids. He too laid eggs which became the drakes - also known as chromatic or western dragons that roam the lands of the west today.
The creation of dragonborn was also not as simple as is remembered. Bahamut did not intend to create them at all, rather dragonborn were born when drops of Tiamat's black blood fell into Bahamut's open wounds, and this mixture of blood grew to form the first dragonborn. Bahamut, realizing what had happened, enlisted these creatures to be the faithful servants to her an her kin and in doing so set the dragonborn on their path to creating the Longuo empire, which Bahamut and her children still watch over.
