Description
Karsus is the Aarakocran god of beauty and the sun. He is the brother of Lunala and Sharess. He is known for his flambouyance and dances his egg, the sun, across the sky each day.
Appearance
Karsus appears as an Aarakocra man of gigantic size. His features resemble those of a peacock. His gold, red, orange, pink, and yellow feathers are always afflutter, matching the ceaceless rhythm of his dance and song. He is outlandishly attractive looking by Aarakocra standards. His feathers are supernaturally large and cleanly preened, and they shine with an overwhelming golden light. He dresses in extravagant layeredrobes with numerous luxurious accessories like sashes and jewelry that hang off of his handsome frame.
Personality
Karsus is loud and arrogant. He considers himself to be the center of attention at all times, and if this is ever not the case, he will brashly attempt to remedy this. He is self-centered, but optimistic and good-spirited. His poor critical thinking skills are matched only by the incredible confidence by which he acts. Such is the force of his personality however, that enemies and allies alike find themselves agreeing with him.
Worship
Worship of Karsus is common among Aarakocra men, especially young and sexually active men. Shrines to him are often found in theaters, salons, or in the homes of the particularly vain. It is common for politicians, salesmen, artists, and those seeking attention from some source to pray to Karsus. Clerics of Karsus value keeping up appearances and saving face, and preach that the road to a better life is through improving one's public perception.
Symbol
A shining sun surrounded by multiple layers of detailed and embelished waves of light.
