Description
Morgana is the goddess of killing, and sees herself as a patron and conneseur of the art of murder. She roams the Mortal Realm searching for the most beautiful killings. She revels in murder and death, and regularly intervenes in mortal affairs in order to ensure a gory outcome.
Appearance
Morgana is a tall, pale woman with slender features whose beauty is matched only by her malice. She changes her wardrobe to visually match the violent acts that inspire her, and prefers a sleek, elegant appearance. Her long, straight dark red hair and ruby lips are both perpetually wet with blood. When she takes form in the Mortal Realm she frequently manifests using the body of a recent corpse, meaning that for many of the mortals she appears before her hair and lips are the only constant in her appearance.
Personality
Morgana is debaucherous, and has a quick temper. She revels in passionate and angry acts of all sorts and considers murder to be the ultimate act of passion. Moreover, she enjoys manipulating said passions and frequently toys with mortals, convincing them to rape, steal, and murder for her amusement. She grants mortals boon and bane alike with fickle abandon, but will lavish her favored "artists" with all manner of gifts as long as they continue to satisfy her. She has particular tastes in killing: she prefers premeditated murders that have stewed in hate for years, and murders of passion caused by a person emotionally or psychologically breaking. She dislikes clumsy or accidental deaths, and relishes an elaborate scheme. She is prideful and secretly insecure both about her art and her power as a goddess, and lashes out against anything that feeds this feeling. Her favorite murders are captured and preserved in her Gallery of Blood in Celestia, and she is quick to hold a grudge for any insult against her or her taste by other gods.
Worship
Worship of Morgana is common among those who kill for any reason. Soldiers, pirates, and assasins all routinely pray to Morgana for success in their violent endeavors. Even those who do not trade in death may pray to Morgana hoping to bring punishment upon the object of their anger. Prayers to Morgana are usually accompanied by a list of reasons the subject of the prayer deserves to die, as the Mistress of Murder is known to favor killings motivated by intense emotion. Shrines to her are common in barracks and warships, and it is common to see her name, likeness, or symbol engraved upon cannons, pistols, or blades. It is common to say that those suffering ironic or untimely deaths are victims of a prank by Morgana. Clerics of Morgana often dress in lavish vestments of red and black when attending their duties. They preach that violence and exercise of one's emotional urges are natural and essential aspects of life and that to indulge in them is to be alive. They may directly or indirectly help kill those who they feel deserve to die and may be sought after by those seeking such aid.
