Description
Sharess, sister of Karsus and Lunala, is the dead god of darkness and isolation. She was killed in a struggle between her and INSERT over the domain of The Night. Her corpse, Orentia's second, broken moon, still orbits Orentia - though it reflects no light and can be seen only as an outline of blackness against the stars. Though she is dead, she is still worshipped, and thus still a god and able to give spells to her clerics.
Appearance
Sharess is dead, and unable to manifest a form on any plane aside from her corpse. She is depicted as an Aarakocran woman with features resembling that of a horned owl. She is short and stout as Aarakocra go, and her plumage is a muted, mottled grey and black. Her eyes are dead, glassy black orbs that reflect nothing. The left side of her torso, along with her left arm and wing, is missing, as it was bitten off by INSERT when he ate her heart and killed her. She wears plain grey burial robes that hang off of her right shoulder.
Personality
Sharess is dead, and unable to communicate with gods or mortals. What is known about her personality is gleaned from her omens and miracles. Sharess favors those who are lost, impoverished, or hopeless. Owls often mark the transition into her domain, making themselves known when one becomes truly isolated.
Worship
Sharess is worshipped by the lost or rejected. Those who have lost everything or been outcast turn to her as their patron, playing for safety and peace through solitary isolation. She is thus commonly worshipped by tieflings, orphans, slaves, and the homeless. It is not uncommon to see a shrine to her corpse tucked into the side alley of a slum or ruin. In the dark and cramped corners of the world, Sharess has been known to open false passageways that lead to a dark and winding limnal space. this demi-plane, all that is left of Sharess's celesial realm is a haven for her clerics and a prison for others. One cannot leave this maze of dark corridors unless they are willing to leave everything behind them. Clerics of Sharess are ascetics who preach letting go of attachment.
