Sleipnir

Strong, intelligent, and unfailingly loyal, sleipnir are rare and powerful beasts that are regarded as kings among horses. Sleipnir are solitary, and do not travel in herds. They are mildly territorial, and will avoid areas frequented by another of their kin until it is time to mate. While sleipnir certainly have predators, they are few, and none that would dare attack an adult sleipnir. While they are prized as steeds the world over, sleipnir are too intelligent to domesticate and cannot be "broken" as simply as a horse. A rider must therefore earn the trust of a sleipnir before it will accept them.

Lifespan: 70 - 100 years.
Native Habitat: hills and grasslands of the Cleftstone and Valariean seas.
