Tiefling
Summary
The otherworldly Tieflings often inspire strong emotion in others, be it fear, anger, awe, or passion. Tieflings are part demons, and their extraplanar heritage is both a blessing and a curse, changing their appearance and giving them a fragment of unholy power. Tieflings are descended from a group of ancient humans who were cursed by the gods, made a pact with a devil, tricked succubi into becoming their concubines, or any number of other things depending on which stories you believe - as the truth of the matter has been lost to time. Tieflings are a sparse and meager race with few members and fewer rights in the empires of the world, who are considered outsiders by societies that do not outright hate them. They are not always in full control of their infernal magic, and as such they tend to be outcasts - some shunning their demonic ancestry, others embracing it. Their height, weight, and lifespans are similar to humans, but their appearance is altered by their otherworldly blood. As such their skin takes on an alien hue, often dark, warm colors like red, purple, and burgundy. All Tieflings have horns that grow in many different shapes from their heads, though some who deny their origins file the horns down to little more than bumps. Tieflings may also have fiery eyes, barbed tails, hoofed feet, or other strange features that are not consistent across all members of their kind.
Tieflings do not have a unified culture or kingdom, instead living in the cracks of society and scraping out a meager existence for them and their kin. Tieflings, when left to their own devices tend to be hassled and tormented by their demonic influences. As such, they often avoid becoming solitary monks and rangers.
