At the heart of Frio's intellectual pursuits stands the arcane college known as Tal Magiir, drawing the attention and patronage of the enigmatic Fifth Law. The country is a hotbed of innovation and magical marvels, fueled by scientific inquiry and arcane exploration. Governed by a vigilant council, Frio upholds a commitment to education, mandating that all citizens receive schooling until age 16, and emphasizes rehabilitation for those who have transgressed the law.

  Frio's political landscape reflects a liberal ethos, where the government actively engages with the concerns of its people and strives for continuous improvement. However, a lingering xenophobia, rooted in the kingdom's history, makes Frio somewhat guarded towards outsiders. Diplomatic ties are strongest with Huldra and Blekinge, while relations with other kingdoms remain strained.

  Frio is governed as a democracy, originally led by a council of ten individuals chosen periodically through democratic elections. Due to the Drought of Apocrypha, most of the council members neared death and agreed to transfer their consciousness into an automaton. Now, joining this council requires thorough investigation and research. To maintain transparency and weed out corruption, the Totality enlists external entities such as the Thieves Guild or the enigmatic Fifth Law to scrutinize potential issues. The capital city of Frio is Ventess.
