Growth persists beyond the veil of death, as life continues to unfurl even in realms beyond. The departed are not forgotten; they live on in the eternal roots that intertwine with the world. We do not know how or when life started on Ori, but we know what came before anything. Plants. They hold and spread information privy to themselves, eventually they started doing more than that. When life on Ori nearly went extinct (several times), Lilith made a promise to her sibling, Cyano, that she would protect the ones long lost so they can come back when it is safe. Every creature that walked on Ori is stored within Lilith. For when the time comes, everything will have a second chance.
