Orion

Orion is young. The remnants of creation are fresh and while this world already has a rich history, it has only begun developing. The primordial race of Genasi dominate most of the planet, managing creation and controlling expansion. They are the watchers left in charge by the unfathomable beings of creation, or so the legend goes. These are not the only living beings within Orion though. The planet counts many different sentient and semi-sentient races, all of which have developed in their own unique way. Some live in seclusion from the rest of the world, others have recently started discovering other races and some even actively pursue the discovery of new lands.   Gods and religion are plenty, however, this means there are many disagreements on the nature and purpose of these divine beings. Some races value their creator above all, whereas other’s value the gods that support their empire, lord or religious leader. However, gods are not just religious idols to be praised and worshipped. They are very much real and present in most parts of the world. This makes them powerful, influential, but also vulnerable. Gods fight, argue, aid, create and yes, gods die. The concept of “God” also varies between cultures and in practice. Not every god’s creation has the same origin, their existence is determined by unique variables. Some gods rely on the faith and worship of their being, whereas others rely on the existence of a concept or object.   Due to the relatively young age the world is in, nature is plentiful and largely undisturbed. Orion knows many natural wonders such as jungles, forests, grasslands, reefs and even some sentient flora, but also a large variety of animals.
