The 12 pages

Myth

There once was a wicked wizard named Alkazar, who made 12 EVIL pages to destroy the Dark Lands. The good people of the Dark Lands came together to scared the evil wizard. Before disappearing from the public the wizard spouted a prophecy: "In 100 years time, I will rise again and all will be doomed, for I'll have my 12 pages of DOOM. Only if you could seal off the pages could I be stopped!" *evil laugh* Cleared from their mind control the evil wizards' underlings bravely stole the pages from the wizard and with the help of the GOOD wizards and necromancers, did they manage to seal them away at 12 separate locations.   And so was the myth of the evil wizard Alkazar made.

Historical Basis

There was an artificer (not a wizard) named Alkazar, who was known to show up in locations where people suffered the most. He was working on 12 Artifact level pages and a bookcase made of extremely rare items. His words were true to the story "In 100 years' time, I will rise again and all will be doomed, for I'll have my 12 pages of DOOM. Only if you could seal off the pages could I be stopped!" *evil laugh* And finally, his previous allies brought back the pages for the wizards to seal them away, they were sealed away in 12 undisclosed locations.

Variations & Mutation

In some variations, Alkazar is killed. In others, the pages are burned. And in the final batch he transforms into a demon and is killed.
