Serpent's Nest
General Summary
On the way to Serpent's Nest the party was attacked by a deep scion and it's sea spawn minions. After defeating the "pirates" they continued on their journey. Just prior to arriving at the large island, a massive sea serpent examined them, before swimming off towards the island. Upon arriving at the island they meet, and harass, a group of peasants who direct them to climb the island to meet their king. The king requested that they go to a nearby island, housing a ruined temple, to retrieve a magical emerald, and prepaid with magic items. The extremely shady court wizard tried to get them to betray the king and destroy the emerald for "reasons." The party fought a warlock at the temple and got the emerald, and his ring of water walking. They returned to Serpent's Nest, talked to the giant serpent, Saphil, and discovered that she needed the emerald to hatch her eggs. They promptly try to arrest the court wizard, but he escapes. Most of the party sells the information to the Havenport Geographical Society, but one member decides to give the information to the Gull Syndicate.
