The Ecclesiarchy

The Ecclesiarch is a joint religious organization that welcomes worship for all gods with representatives of each. In the old world the Ecclesiarch was a major political power as it represented the will of the gods and granted a great deal of stability and legitimized those kingdoms who accepted it.

Now with charter to colonize the new world and bring the light of the gods to the natives the Ecclesiarch is in need of faithful, loyal, and zealous individuals ready to espouse the glories of the gods.

Structure

At the very of the top of the hierarchy is the Reverend an elected member of the Council of Cardinals who serves as the figure head, administrative/organizational power, and final arbitrator for the Ecclessiarchy. A new reverend is elected upon death, resignation, or excommunication.

Directly under them is the a fore mentioned Council of Cardinals which is made up of representatives from all the gods save for current Reverend. They serve as advisers to the Reverend, drafters of legislation, and bookkeepers for the Ecclessiarchy.

Under them clergy for the gods. Now each god has a different way of organizing but they all follow the same general structure after the Edict of Order was passed. At the top of a church is the Archbishops who manage church on a macro scale. There are usually between 3-5 Archbishops in a church but some have as few as 1 or as many as 10.

Under them are the Chaplains and Bishops which serve as the preachers and administration respectively. Chaplains are the commanders of the missionaries, friars, and nuns who bring the word of their god to the people. As before different churches have different ways of preaching and the Chaplains are given a fair bit of leeway in how they conduct their business. On the Administrative end is the Bishops who manage the day to day problems and responsibilities of their church with their army of monks and Elders.

The current Reverend is a representative of Yapo a Tiefling named Guangli Zhou who was elected 14 years ago and has enacted many popular edicts including the Edict of Order. He was the main factor in gaining charter to the new world.
