The King of Serpent's Nest

Aquilan Vathrya is the elvish king of the island, and castle, Serpent's Nest. During his younger years, as prince, he gained a reputation as a great adventurer, and is said to have accumulated a vast hoard of magical artifacts. Since the death of his father, 80 years ago, he has ruled as the undisputed king of Serpent's Nest. His court is torn between praising his stoicism and patience, and condemning his lack of action, particularly in view of the new explorers.
