Aasimar

Aasimar, also called angel genasi and angelbloods, are humans touched by the radiant power of heaven. The stereotypical aasimar is brave, righteous, and self-assured, but there are just as many that are craven and selfish. Aasimar exist everywhere, but they are far and away most common in Belhacint.   While some aasimar look like perfectly normal humans, others bear the obvious marks of their heritage. Some have luminous eyes, while others are entirely wreathed in a faint aura of radiance that illuminates them even in darkness. Some are accompanied by strains of song, or the chiming of bells. Some have unnaturally perfect physiques, or golden skin, or heads crowned with burning halos… the list goes on.
aasimar traits:
  • Bloodline Magic (1/2/3). You can take this trait up to three times; each time you do, you gain access to a new “tier” of spells, as detailed below. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
    1. You know one of the following cantrips: light, sacred flame, or thaumaturgy.
    2. Choose one of the following spells: command, cure wounds, or sanctuary. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast that spell as a 1st-level spell once per long rest.
    3. Choose one of the following spells: calm emotions, lesser restoration, or spiritual weapon. Starting at 5th level, you can cast that spell as a 2nd-level spell once per long rest.
  • Damage Resistance (1/2). Choose either necrotic damage or radiant damage. You have resistance to the chosen damage type. You can take this trait twice to gain resistance to both damage types.
  • Healing Hands (2). As a bonus action, you can touch a creature and cause it to regain a number of hit points equal to your level. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
  • Inner Strength (2). You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the frightened condition on yourself.
  • Radiant Soul (3). Starting at 3rd level, you can use your bonus action to enter a state of angelic radiance. While in this state, radiant light pours out of your eyes and mouth, and you shed bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. This state lasts for 1 minute or until you end it as a bonus action. You can take this trait more than once; each time you do, your radiant state gains one of the effects below. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
    • Creatures other than your allies within 10 feet of you that can see you enter your radiant state must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
    • Radiant flames wreathe your hands. Once on each of your turns, you can deal extra radiant damage to one target when you deal damage to it with an attack or a spell. The extra damage equals your proficiency bonus.
    • A pair of wings sprout from your back. You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
