Naiad

Naiads, also called water genasi, are heirs to the elemental power of water. As a result, naiads commonly have temperaments as changeable as the sea—placid one moment, tempestuous the next. Many naiads hail from the Andarine Sea, or from other locations close to bodies of water.   Blue or green skin is common in naiads, and some possess fishlike scales. Some always look as if they have just finished bathing, with beads of moisture collecting on their skin and hair. A naiad’s hair might float freely, swaying and waving as if underwater. Some smell of fresh rain and clean water, and others have voices with undertones reminiscent of whale song or trickling streams.
naiad traits:
  • Amphibious (2). You can breathe air and water, and you have a swimming speed equal to your walking speed.
  • Aquatic Lurker (3). Starting at 3rd level, while completely submerged in water, you can use your bonus action to become invisible. Anything you are wearing or carrying becomes invisible along with you. You remain invisible for 10 minutes, until you use a bonus action to become visible again, or until you make an attack, cast a spell, or leave the water. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you complete a long rest.
  • Bloodline Magic (2/3). You can take this trait twice; each time you do, you gain access to a new “tier” of spells, as detailed below. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
    1. You know the shape water cantrip.
    2. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast create or destroy water as a 2nd-level spell once per long rest.
  • Crashing Wave (2). When you use your action to make a melee attack against a creature, provided you moved at least 15 feet toward the creature during that turn, you can make an extra attack as a bonus action.
  • Damage Resistance (1). You have resistance to cold damage.
  • Darkvision (2). You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
